Here is our handsome little guy!
Mason Troy Fowler
He is a healthy 7 lbs which is 4 pounds bigger than the girls were so he seems so big to me!Thursday we had talked about going to the hospital to have my water broken since I had been dilated so big for so long. So we enjoyed Thursday: Troy and Jared went golfing, the girls and I played outside, we had a nice dinner together and then went to the mall to get ice cream.
Well, Mason must have known we were planning to go in anyways because when we got home for the mall I started to have regular, strong contractions, so we decided for sure to go in.
They admitted me and I quickly went from 4 cm to 6 cm, so my doctor came in and broke my water, and I continued to have strong contractions but for some reason I stopped dilating. So we waited for 5 hours and then my doctor gave me a choice, I could get a little amount of pitocin to see if I would dilate more, but pitocin is not good for a VBAC and increases the risk of rupture of the uterus, or I could go in for a C-Section. It was really hard for me to decide, but the doctor said after examining me that a c-section would probably be the safest so that is we did!!
I was a lot calmer during this c-section than I was with my first and I have felt like I have recovered a lot better too. It was such a wonderful feeling of love when I heard his cry. It was so similar to when I heard my girls crying for the first time when they were born. It is amazing how much love I can have for each of my 3 beautiful children. We are loving every moment with our little buddy!

Katelyn and Kylie meeting their brother for the first time. I am not so sure what they think yet! They were pretty quiet around him! One of the hardest part of this hospital stay is that I miss them so much!

Uncle Jared with Mason. We are so glad that Jared was here to meet him. Jared was a huge help with Katelyn and Kylie. He was with them at night and all day Friday. They went and did lots of fun stuff. He took care of them so well. We are going to miss having Jared here!!

Oh you guys, he is precious and so handsome already. I am glad everything went good and that he is healthy! So I was walking by your house the other day and I took a double take at Jared because at my first glance I thought it was him, but on my second glance I decided it wasn't and kept on walking. haha. I should have said hi!!
