Ahhh, Spring Break.
A time of relaxation, amazing memories, and lots and lots of sunshine.
Well, our spring break was full of lots of sun and memories, but it was definitely not relaxing.
Packing for a family of 6 and driving to California and back with 4 crazy, energetic little kids was far from relaxing.
Trying to keep track of everyone at busy Sea World and in Las Vegas (we did loose Kylie for about 2 of the scariest minutes at Sea World).
Keeping everyone happy on our endless drive.
Blisters from walking so much.
Loading bags to and from the car at each hotel,
Arms full of kids, snacks, toys, and towels walking back and forth from the beach.
Assuring Kylie over and over that no, she would not get attacked by a shark or stung by a poisonous animal at the beach.
Bribing the kids to go on scary rides.
Cleaning and vacuuming out the van when we got home took a couple hours.
And cleaning the sand out of the bags and the doing the laundry was painfully time consuming.
So, relaxing, NO WAY!
But it was for sure full of some of the best times, we saw some of our best friends, and we had such a great time.
And the kids loved every minute so that made it all worth it!
On the way to California we stopped in Las Vegas for the night and the next day we explored the city a little. We had fun walking around and seeing some fun things.
We even found Spiderman! Mason LOVES Spiderman so he was extremely excited.
We went to the M and M Store and the kids had fun watching the 3D Movie and picking out some M&Ms.
We then stayed a couple nights with some of our friends from Iowa, Luke and Ashley Webb and their family.
The next two pictures were taken by Ashely.
We had fun watching one of Brooklyn and Aubrey's soccer games!! Because of this the girls really want to play soccer so I signed them up here in Shelley.
The kids had fun swimming together!
Sweet Tyson was such a good little guy on the whole trip and just went along with whatever and loved being outside.
We were able to go to the beach with the Webbs.
This was Katelyn, Kylie, Mason, and Tyson's first time at the Beach! The girls have watched way too many documentaries about sharks and poisonous animals so Kylie was a little nervous about it, but was soon enjoying it with everyone else. Mason was in pure heaven. He loved running from the waves. We all loved the beach and went back a second time before leaving California.
We were able to take the kids to Sea World and spent two days there.
It was so fun for the kids to see all the animals and the shows. They LOVED Sea World.
Troy, Katelyn, and Kylie went on the ride in the background of this picture and while we were waiting Mason was jumping in the puddles and getting splashed by the boats coming down. He was soaking wet.
We went to this show twice because it was so amazing. Troy and the kids sat down in the splash zone and I stayed up higher with the cameras and our diaper bag, which is a good thing because they all got splashed pretty good!
The dolphin show was fun too!
Spring Break 2013 was a success.
We had fun, got dirty and tired, and made some great memories!
