Skydiving Pics!!

Well, Troy went skydiving on Saturday and loved it!! He had so much fun and would love to do it again someday. I was so surprised that he didn't even seem nervous at all. I was really nervous.

Here he is practicing his form for when he jumps.

The instructor told them to make sure their shoes were on tight

Nice hat!

Getting excited!

Getting all the gear on!

Walking to the airplane
Getting ready to get on the tiny airplane! Look how small the door is!
They were way too high to get pictures of them falling but here they are after their parachutes were pulled. We could tell that Derek was in the white and Troy was in the orange because we heard them when they were still way high.
Getting closer!
And going in for the landing!

The girls are running out to make sure their daddy is ok!

Good Job Troy!

Trick - Or - Treating

The girls had fun trick-or-treating with their cousins Cody and Nicole! Kylie was so happy to see Nicole that they decided to hold hands.

Enjoying their candy together.

It was so fun having Derek, Sarah, and their kids here for the weekend! Thanks for coming, we miss you!

Troy's Birthday

Troy turned 26 years old on October 23rd. The girls and I had fun decorating our house and wrapping presents for him to surprise him when he got home from school. Of course when I pulled out the camera to take pictures the battery was dead! So I didn't get any pictures but he wants to tell everyone thanks for the birthday cards!

So this year for Troy's birthday he got big surprise for one of his birthday presents. I got him a gift certificate to go sky diving! He is going to go with my sisters husband Derek this Saturday. Since Derek and Troy's birthdays are only 3 days apart my sister Sarah and I thought it would be fun to get them sky diving gift certificates because they both have talked about wanting to go. Since Sarah and Derek live in Missouri right now we thought it would be fun to have them come up Halloween weekend and have them go together here in Des Moines!

Troy is really excited and I think I am more nervous than he is! I will be sure to take pictures and put them up this weekend!

Getting Ready for Halloween

We are all really excited for Halloween! We have so much going on this week! A preschool party, a library party, and family party at Des Moines University, trick-or-treating, and a ward party. Plus the girls went trick-or-treating at the zoo on Saturday. But most of all the girls are excited for their cousins Cody, Nicole, and Danielle to come stay with us Halloween weekend. They ask everyday if they are coming today. I always have to tell them no but in a couple of days.

Carving pumpkins

We went trick-or-treating at the zoo on Saturday and the girls got to meet Cinderella and Snow White!

Pretty Girls

I took these pictures of the girls one day before preschool. I thought they were looking cute in the new outfits that Grandpa and Grandma brought when they came to visit.

Katelyn is thinking I am crazy for taking all these pictures and is just ready to go to school.

One last big smile from Katelyn

Ta Da! Look how cute I am! (Kylie can't go anywhere without bringing one of her stuffed animals).

Child's prayer

Katelyn and Kylie are doing such a good job praying and it is so fun to listen to them prayer all by themselves. Sometimes it is so hard not to laugh because they will say thank you for the most random things and will go on and on. I love it though, we should all be thankful for the simple things.
The other night Katelyn was crying because she couldn't find her little toy cow. Katelyn and Kylie's little animals are probably the most important things that they own! They love them. Anyways I looked everywhere for it and told her I could not find it. She was pretty sad so I told her that we could pray and asked Heavenly Father to help us find it. She was crying to much to want to so Kylie said she would pray. She said a very cute prayer asking Heavenly Father to please find Katelyn's cow. Then she came downstairs with me to help look for it. She looked in the diaper bag and I went to help her and there it was! She was so excited she ran upstairs and said to Katelyn, "Heavenly Father found your cow!"
Since then she has reminded me almost everyday that He helped us find the cow. That prayer really meant a lot to me and I am so grateful that our Father in Heaven listens to His children and that we can prayer to him for anything, even a missing toy cow.

Wicked!!

Thursday night I was able to see one of the most amazing things... the Broadway Musical Wicked!! It was so amazing!!! I have wanted to see this musical for a long time because I have always loved the music so I was so happy to have it come to Des Moines! Some of my friends and I decided that we needed a girls night out and we were able to get some really cheap tickets. I was so impressed, the music was so amazing it gave me chills the whole time and I loved the story!
We all met at my apartment so I could take everyone in our van.
We even went out to eat before!

Waiting for the show to start, we are all so excited!

After it was all over!
We decided it would be such a good idea to dress Katelyn and Kylie up as the two main characters, the witches of OZ. We even have a blue princess dress that one of them could wear. But they are pretty set on being some kind of animal for Halloween, so maybe next year! It was a good idea.

Thanks girls for the fun night! I am excited for all of our future plans! :) And thank you husbands for watching the kids even though you all have a big test on Monday!

Back to the Pumpkin Patch

I promised the girls we would go back to the pumpkin patch to actually get a pumpkin and so they asked about it almost everyday. I wanted to wait and go on a day that Troy could go with us but it has been so rainy here so when it was a sunny day on Wednesday I decided we better go. Good thing to because that was the only sunny day this week and it is now snowing here in Iowa on this beautiful saturday morning. So here are more pictures of the pumpkin patch.

Checking out some pumpkins

Riding the wiggle cars

This is the pumpkin we got. Katelyn is making sure it doesn't fall!
The girls loved the corn maze. It was huge, we only covered about half of it.

Thank You. . .

Troy's parents came out to visit us last weekend and we just wanted to say thanks for everything!! We had such a fun time with them here! It rained the entire time they were here so we couldn't do a lot of things we wanted to outside but Troy and his Dad were able to go golfing, and we also went shopping, bowling, out to eat, swimming a couple of times, and listened to Conference. Katelyn and Kylie were so happy to have them here. When it was time for Troy's parents to leave the girls got there little purses, put some animals in them, got their shoes and were ready to go to Grandma's house. When we told them they couldn't go they cried and cried, and were still crying as Grandma and Grandpa drove away and long after. It was seriously one of the saddest moments ever. They really miss all of their Grandpas and Grandmas! Thank you Mom and Dad Fowler for making the long drive out here to see us! We had a great time.

I also had a doctors appointment last week. It went well, but they don't like to do ultrasounds until like 20 weeks so even though we are pretty sure there is just one in my belly we are not 100% sure!

We hope everyone is enjoying the Fall weather!

Katelyn and Kylie. . . .

Are excited to announce that they are going to be big sisters!
We are really excited for this new addition to our family!
I am due May 1st. I have been pretty sick but I am hoping that
will pass soon. The girls have been talking about a new little
baby. I think that they will be such good sisters and a big help.
We are all excited!

Pumpkin Patch

Last Friday we went to a pumpkin patch with some friends. This place was really fun. There was a ton of pumpkins plus farm animals that you can feed and other fun activities for the kids. The farms out here are really beautiful.

Playing on the tractors.

This was a huge "sand box" but instead of sand it was corn kernals.

Swinging on the tire horses.

First Day.....

So my cute precious daughters had their first day of preschool on Monday. Katelyn and Kylie loved the Toddler Lab that they were in at BYU Idaho, so I thought it would be fun to get them into something here so I signed them up through the YMCA. I wasn't able to get them into the two days a week class because we were pretty late so they only go on Monday for a couple hours. But that is okay with me! They were pretty excited! Especially because they got to wear their Dora backpacks to school. They thought it was pretty cool that they got to go to school like Dad. Now when we go see Dad at his school they like to wear their backpacks.
Katelyn.. Can you tell that she is excited?Kylie Anne

It always makes things so much easier knowing I am sending them together and that they will always have each other. With neighbor and friend, Addy. They are all in the same class!

Temple Trip

Last weekend we were able to get away for a couple days to go to the Winter Quarters temple. We decided to made a trip out of it so we brought the girls along. I did a session in the temple Friday night, Troy did one Saturday morning and then for the rest of the day we went to the Omaha zoo which is one of the top zoos in the nation. It was amazing!!! We were there for 7 hours and still did not see everything. Of course the girls loved it. The Winter Quarters Temple was very beautiful and it had a very special spirit there. The visitors center was awesome and so was the cemetery right by the temple. Once again, I am so thankful for the pioneers and all that they did. We are grateful that this temple is only 2 hours away from us.

The girls were so good both times while waiting for us to go through the temple.
Sorry, a picture of a picture. This is what Winter Quarters looked like when the pioneers were there. On the banks of the Missouri River. The statue that is in the cemetery. This pioneer couple is standing over the grave of their baby. There was so many children buried here. One of the best parts of this zoo was their aquarium. We walked through a glass tunnel and all around us and above us was water with lots of fish, sting wray, sea turtles, and sharks.

A sea turtle that swam right above us.Walking on a bridge through the rain forest building.

The girls really liked the butterfly building.

My little monkeys swinging in the trees!

Nauvoo

A couple weeks ago we had the opportunity to go to Nauvoo, definatly one of my favorite places ever! Nauvoo is about 3 hours from Des Moines. My parents came to Nauvoo to bring my little brother and two of his friends to Nauvoo for EFY. My parents just stayed in Nauvoo all week visiting the sites and attending the temple daily. We had fun keeping the boys for 4 nights and having my parents with us in Iowa for a few days. We were able to spend Friday evening and all day Saturday in Nauvoo with them. It was really enjoyable and I love feeling the special spirit that is there! It is really neat to think that Joseph Smith and so many other early leaders of our church and early members lived here. We counted it out and I think it was either 6 or 7 (I can't remember) of our prophets lived in Nauvoo as well as so many other apostles, members of the 70 and other leaders. A temple was built, Relief Society organized, revelations recieved, and so many other wonderful things happened here. Troy and I want to come back soon to go to the temple.

Looking out from the temple at a sunset over the Mississippi

The Beautiful Temple

Statue of Joseph and Hyrum looking back at Nauvoo

And of course Katelyn and Kylies favorite thing was petting the horse and the oxen teams and going for a wagon ride.

And throwing rocks into the Mississippi RiverThis is the spot where the saints walked down the road, looked back to see their temple and then crossed the river either on a raft or on ice for those who left in the winter.

My favorite part was the drive to Carthage and Carthage jail.
The drive is about 30 min. and it is all along the Mississippi. It was so beautiful. I can't wait to see it in the fall.

Standing by the window that Joseph Smith fell out of.

Made it to Iowa. . .

Well, we have left the land of Potatoes and entered the land of Corn!! We made it to West Des Moines, IA on July 22. It was a long drive but the girls actually did really good on the drive. We really like our apartment complex. It is a 2 story 3 bedroom townhome so it is nice to have all of the room. Almost all of the LDS students that go to DMU also live here so it kind of feels like Rexburg. We are all in the same ward here as well. It is so nice because we have been able to meet and become with friends with so many other students. I am able to do things with the other stay at home moms that have their husbands in school and Troy is able to carpool with some of the other students.

West Des Moines is a really nice place and their is so much fun stuff to do here with kids! We have a swimming pool at our complex plus there are so many other water parks and stuff around. So far we have been able to go swimming a lot and we have been to lots of fun parks. There is also a nice lake really close here that has a sandy beach, a playground and a trail that goes around the lake which has been fun to take the girls to. They also like the zoo here which we have been to a couple times.
At a water park. That whole area in the background is a wading pool. The girls LOVED it.

At the zoo

At the Zoo with our friend Jessica Johnson and her twin girls

At a hot air balloon festival we went to with Ryan and Danna Pettit (Danna grew up in Shelley and now they live just a couple doors down).
There were so many!

Iowa is really pretty and when I said we entered the land of corn it is really true. I knew there was corn here but I didn't realize how much! Leaving Nebraska into Iowa all there was until we got into West Des Moines was corn fields and farms and when we drove from Des Moines to Nauvoo, IL thats all there was as well. And all around this area there are so many fields of corn. It is really beautiful though. ( I think anyways). And it tastes so good too! Is it wrong to eat corn every night?

Moving here as been a big change for all of us. We miss family a lot, especially Katelyn and Kylie who always ask to go see their Grandpas and Grandmas. And I was not really ready to lose my husband to the first year of podiatry school. He has enjoyed school so far and it really hasn't been that bad, he leaves early enough in the morning that he is able to spend the evenings with us.

Katelyn and Kylie have been sleeping in the same crib up to this point but when we moved here we bought them toddler beds which I have been worried about because they wouldn't be sleeping next to each other anymore. It has been so fun to check on them in the morning and see them both on the floor next to each other or sleeping in the same toddler bed. Maybe we will just move the beds together.

IOWA!!

We are here in Iowa!!! We have been so busy I have not had time to post anything about it but I will soon!

Goodbye Rexburg

After living in Rexburg, Idaho for 5 years the time came to say goodbye. I just wanted dedicate this post to the last 5 years and the memories I have had.

I have loved the jobs that I was able to get here: Babysitting, Gardening on a big Estate, Working as a CNA for a home health program, and my favorite waking up at 4 am to go bake at Great Harvest Bread with my husband. I loved the experiences that I got from all of those jobs.
Second of all I have met so many amazing people here from people I have worked with, my wonderful roommates, the people I have met in all of the my student wards,

Some of our best friends from Rexburg, Charlie, Whitney, and Allie Anderson

my teachers, my classmates, and of course the most important person I met in Rexburg,

my Husband. I love him so much and am grateful that we met 4 and a half years ago at an opening ward social that was on campus. And of course what comes with meeting your spouse is meeting their family.

I can't believe I have not always known this family. I love them so much and they are such a big part of my life. They have done so much for me and I am grateful for them. It has been so wonderful only living 30 minutes away from them.

I have been able to be in Rexburg for the announcment of the Rexburg Temple, the groundbreaking, the building process, the open house, and the dedication, and was there to attend this beautiful temple many times. I loved living so close to the temple. This temple will always be special to me.

I will always remember Rexburg because I was able to accomplish some of my biggest goals that I have had. Such as run a marathon

Graduate from college with my Bachelors degree

Get married in the temple

And become a Mom

I am grateful for the things that have happened in the past 5 years!

Moser Family Reunion!!!

In July my family was able to get together for a fun family reunion. My grandparents, my parents all of my sisters and their husbands (except for one) and their kids and my brother were all able to come. This does not happen very often because we live all over so it was fun to have us all together. My mom had shirts made that had numbers on the back of when we came into the family.

Some cute girls!

Phelps Lake

We hiked up to a lake by the Tetons called Phelps lake. Thowing rocks in

The girls hiked all the way up to the lake but on the way back they were tired so we carried them all the way out. They fell asleep on they way and Troy and I were pretty worn out by the time we got back!

Murphey Lake

We spent one day of the reunion at Murpheys Lake. We had fun riding in the boats. Troy and my other brothers and my sister Jennie jumped off the rope swing and Sarah and I swam across. Katelyn and Kylie loved touching the fish that were caught by Grandpa and cousins. Murpheys Lake brought back lots of memories because we have gone to this lake so much growing up.

Hello From Us!

Hello everyone from the four of us! It has been awhile since we last blogged so there are going to be a lot of pictures. We have been staying busy: Troy with work and me and the girls playing outside as much as possible. Katelyn and Kylie love water, so it is either rigby lake, the splash park, green canyon, or our own wading pool with neighbor friends. This is our last full week in Rexburg, ID :( This has been kind of hard on me but I am looking forward to our move. We will spend the next couple weeks with family and then will be back a couple days before we move to finish packing and then we are off. Troy sold his motorcyle a couple nights ago which was really sad, I almost cried. Other than that life has been good and we have been blessed. I love this guy

And I love my girls

So on Sunday we went to Ashton to see Grandma and Grandpa Clark and also to go to Mesa Falls, well when we got to the falls they told us that we had to pay to park and go see the falls. They must have just started doing that because last time we went we didnt have to pay! We didn't have any cash with us at all so we were pretty disapointed. Instead we went and waded in Warm River. I love Idaho

Summer Fun

Swimming at Granit Hot Springs to celebrate Gracie's (my neice) 4th BirthdayPlaying at the splash park in Rexburg

We love Rigby Lake!!!

And on rainy days . . .

Marathon Relay Team

So some of my family members got together to run a relay in the Teton Dam Marathon. We had so much fun! It was so fun to see each person run and do so awesome. My mom did so good and it was fun to have her be part of our team. She has really been an example in my life as she has been so dedicated to exercising and taking care of her body, that is probably why I run so much! Troy just got down with the first leg and so I took off for the second leg of the race! Troy gave us a really good start!

At The Zoo

We had fun going to the zoo at the end of May. The girls love animals so much . . . they even loved petting the snake.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a really fun Memorial Day Weekend which included playing in lots of water. Friday night we went swimming at Green Canyon with Sarah and Derek. Saturday we went hiking with our friends Matt and Katherine Harris and then later than day we played at the splash park. Sunday and Monday we went to Shelley to spend time with family. The girls had fun playing in the water at Grandpa and Grandma's house.

And More Water.....

Grandpa and Grandma Fowler flood their yard from the canal to water it and even though the water is freezing the girls love to play in it.

Special Testimony Meeting . . .

We had a very wonderful and special surprise for our sacrament meeting today. We walked in to our chapel to see President Clark (Pres. of BYU Idaho) and Elder Bednar up on the stand. Elder Bednar is up here in Rexburg for a CES fireside and how lucky and blessed we were to have him come to our 51st ward's sacrament meeting out of the 100 + wards at BYU Idaho. This testimony meeting was definitely one to remember. Elder Bednar talked first and then the testimonies given were by Sister Bednar, our stake president and his wife, our wonderful bishop, President Clark, and then Elder Bednar again. The spirit was so strong and the testimonies were amazing. Troy and I and the girls sat right behind Sister Clark and Sister Bednar and they turned around and talked to me before the meeting began. We are grateful for the things we were taught this day and for the wonderful leaders we have in this church!

Green Canyon

Last night we took the girls to Green Canyon Hot Springs to go swimming. We had so much fun! I loved how warm the water was. We ended up swimming for 3 1/2 hours.

At first the girls played in their tubes but after awhile they decided they wanted to try walking around in the water and they did great. It was so nice that such a big area of the pool was shallow enough for the girls to play in. They went under a couple of times but it didn't really bother them. They loved it and didn't want to go.

They were pretty hungry girls after swimming for so long.

Grand Teton Bike Ride

Yesterday we went for such a fun bike ride! For the month of April, Grand Teton National Park is closed to vehicles but is open for bikes. So Troy and I left the girls in Shelley and went with my parents and some of my sisters and their husbands. It turned out to be such a beautiful day! It was an actually pretty warm day despite all of the snow on the ground.

Grand Teton Bike Ride

It was fun to have Hannah, Landon, and Grace along

Last Day

The day before Easter my Dad took Troy and my little brother Jared skiing at Targhee for the last day that it was open. They had a good time and I am sure it was a sad day for Jared and my Dad because they (along with my mom) went skiing every Saturday this winter.
