Katelyn and Kylie celebrated their 7th birthday on January 27th.
And as I am writing this I feel like it was a second ago that I was writing a post for their 6th birthday. And their 5th birthday. And their 4th birthday.
I don't know how time goes so fast, but my baby girls are growing up and loving every second of it.
They wanted to have a birthday party and they wanted to have an ocean themed party.
To say they were excited about it would be an understatement.
They were so excited for their friends to come over.
Warning: Never feed 9 seven year olds (and 2 three year olds) this much sugar.
Especially when you are the only adult in the house.
We have a a fun family tradition where my kids tell me what kind of cake they want and I do my best to create it the night before and then they wake up on their birthday excited to see their cake.
Yes, I do put a lot of work into something that is not going to last and will get eaten and destroyed.
But I LOVE to create things. And decorating a cake is like a big messy art project that mom gets to do. And I love it. I love mixing the colors and seeing what I can come up with. I love spending that quite time in the kitchen with all the kids asleep making something. And I love to see the kids wake up in the morning and run down to see the cake and see their faces light up.
I am now regretting the fact that I didn't get a picture of all the kids together. But it was a little crazy! They had so much fun though.
